Vin d'Orange DIY Aperitif
Vin d'orange is a classic Provencal aperitif that blends wine with bitter Seville oranges. Here's how you can make it yourself:
Ingredients:
- 2 bottles of rosé wine
- 250ml vodka
- 150g sugar
- 3 Seville oranges
- 1 sweet orange
- 1 lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
- Combine the rosé wine, vodka, and sugar in a large glass jar.
- Cut the Seville oranges, sweet orange, and lemon into pieces and add them to the jar with a cinnamon stick.
- Cover the jar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Store the jar in a cool, dark place for a month, shaking it every few days.
- Use a mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth to strain the wine into clean bottles, and seal the bottles tightly with a cork.
- Store the bottles in a refrigerator or cool, dark place until you're ready to enjoy your homemade Vin d'Orange.
